Description
The origin of the Prosecco grape is very uncertain, probably it was first planted in a municipality called Prosecco in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Today it is especially prevalent in the Veneto region and principally in the province of Treviso, in particular in the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The harvest usually takes place from the second to the third week of September. The grapes are harvested and vinified according to the characteristic white wine production with soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation. Afterwards the wine is effervesced in the autoclave, obtaining a characterful sparkling wine with diverse fruity and floral aromas.
