Description

The origin is very uncertain, the grape probably comes from a municipality called Prosecco in Friuli Venezia Giulia, nowadays it is especially prevalent in the Veneto region and principally in the province of Treviso, in particular in the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The harvest usually takes place from the second to the third week of September. The grapes are harvested and vinified according to the characteristic white wine production with soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation. Afterwards the Glera is re-fermented and effervesced in the autoclave, obtaining a sparkling wine with hints of fruits and flowers and a good acidity.
