Description
Indigenous grape of Friuli Venezia Giulia, probably its origin dates back to karst areas and Istria. The gathering takes place at the end of September and the vinification of the grapes is done with the classic maceration in order to give the wine an intense red color. The resulting wine holds some tannins and acidity, also characteristic aromas of red fruits such as blackberry and raspberry. The undergone malolactic fermentation transforms the wine into an elegant one, with low levels of acidity and tannins, supposed to be drunk young.
