The vine Manzoni Rosa, also known as Manzoni 1.50, is one of the hybrids of professor Luigi Manzoni, once researcher at the enological school of Conegliano. Unlike the more common Manzoni Bianco 6.0.13, the Manzoni Rosa is rarely found in commerce today. The grape was obtained by the union of Trebbiano and the aromatic Traminer, from which it has acquired its characteristic pink colour. The resulting wine is aromatic, intense, of respectable alcoholic content and persistent.
